India is one of the oldest civilization in the world with a kaleidoscopic variety & rich cultural heritage.
India covers an area of 32,87,263 sq km, extending from snow covered Himalayan heights to the tropical rain forests of the south. India is bounded by great Himalayas in north, India stretches southwards and at the tropic of cancer, tapers off into the Indian ocean between Bay of Bengal on the east & the Arabian sea on the west.

Available data place India in the tenth position in the world & fourth in Asia in plant diversity. From above 70 percent of geographical areas surveyed so far, 47,000 species of plants have been described by the Botanical Survey of India (BSI). India has more than 89,451 species of fauna as per Zoological Survey of India (ZSI) which includes protista, mollusca, anthrapoda, amphibian, mammalian, reptilian, members of protochrodata, pisces, aves & other invertibrates.
The culture of India varies like India vast geography. The long span of history of India, covering more than 3000 years & enumerating several civilizations has been a constant reminder of India ’s rich multicultural extravaganza & world renowned heritage. In India, the traditional Mural paintings are found in the Ajanta caves in modern Maharastra. Manuscript was found since eleventh century.
